Steering Rods

To permanently save the steering-rods in a glider from corrosion, beneath a coating of the surface a protection of the inner side is needed. Weapon oil doing this job very good: the steering rod is opened by removing the ball head - or if not present - using the ventilation whole and partly filled with weapon oil. Afterwards by rotating the rod back and forth the oil is distributed in the rod. Leaving the complete thing some hours alone then oil is removed.

The ever-lasting corrosion protection in do-it-yourself production is ready.

Wing-cam "inside"

Well known problem: how to look inside a wing? Quite simple - take a web-cam (a really small one) and shift it through a small opening in the root-spar inside the wing. Therefore a long rod is used, on which beneath the camera a light (for example a halogen light) is mounted. The pictures show typical views of such a camera ... for example the gluing of the main spar can be checked easily in detail.
