Water Bags

Image description

Inside the wings water bags were mounted, but the proper water-fuel stuff was not available anymore ... and because with only 2x 30 kg of water the effect on the flying behaviour is not really big - that stuff was put out. In this picture the root-rib is still opened up.

Mounting off one of the water-bags in the wing - the other one was mounted classical with a rope in the wing-tip.

A more detailed view. Consider the screws in the wooden block - they go directly through the water-bag. A really good idea - isn’t it? ;-)

A view inside one of the wings - inside the leading edge Styrofoam is placed to protect the water bags.

Thats the way the gluing of the main spar has to look: without any errors and without many kilograms of "mumpe" ... i have seen such a stuff in a much more bad condition, especially on newer gliders.
